A look back + a glance forward

This fall has been crazy and exciting in the best way. My first theater show in over a year debuted at the beginning of October and it was such an meaningful experience. To those of you who bought a ticket, thank you. It meant the world to share my story publicly for the first time in the company of people who have journeyed alongside me and some who came just to hear it. I will remember that moment forever.

After that, I led a 6-week Magic Camp at The Lebowsky Center in Owosso, MI, which was a beginner magic course for 3rd - 6th graders. Believe me when I tell you that we had SO. MUCH. FUN. If your kids missed out, don’t fret. There will be another opportunity for them to take part very soon. Stay tuned. :)

Aside from the normal busyness of the holidays, I have a few shows that I’m really excited about in December. One for a new client that I’m thrilled to work with for a Fantastic Beasts-themed kids event. (How cool is that?!) I will also be performing at Detroit Children’s Hospital for their annual Ticker Club Christmas party. This will be my 5th year! It’s my very favorite event and I can’t wait to share more with you about it.

So that brings us to 2019…and there are some really fun things coming:

1.) A new look. I have been working with some very talented friends to revamp my brand, including the amazing husband and wife duo at Joe Matteson Photography. My current look has served me well, but it’s time for a change. (And a logo that doesn’t look like the Pixar Ball.)

2.) More writing. I launched my blog back in March with every intention of posting weekly, but alas, life happened. I acted in a show at The Lebowsky Center, coordinated a kids race for our local Ronald McDonald House and traveled to New York to see Frozen on Broadway. So yeah, the blog took a back seat. But I have made a commitment to myself (and to you, via this sentence) to write more in the new year. Which brings me to the thing I’m most excited about…

3.) A BOOK! That’s right, I’m writing a book. It’s a little surreal to say (er, type) that, but this is something I have wanted to do for many years and now is the time. I’m thrilled to bring you along for the ride! And you’ll be the first to know as soon as it’s available, so there’s that.

I look forward to connecting with you more in 2019. Very good things are ahead!
